The Good Natured Ox
John Entwistle. Who bassist ...mugs it up backstage with a Gibson G-3 bass ...which he claimed was "in my very most unfavourite shape and finish"... nice guy, John.
Later he signed a Moog Product Endorsement contract and made plans to visit the Gibson factory around NAMM time ...to discuss the "Return of the Thunderbird" ... Entwistle's declared "very most favourite" all-time bass

Stanley Signs
This summer, Stanley will be working with Gibson on his updated version of the "Gibson Bass"... featuring such design innovations as a wooden bridge and wooden nut. Stanley's decision to sign with the Gibson Advisory Board is a major coup for Norlin Artist Relations, and a heavy score for Gibson

I actually played a Gibson Grabber 3 with the three pickups... The guy sold it to me for 180 bucks and then heard how good it sounded and went damn! I played that for about 700 shows. Then I broke the neck again.
